The only catch is that outside drinks, including water, are confiscated immediately if found. Aside from buying drinks at the bar, there are no mandatory costs. Guests are free to use the standing tables, while the spacious courtyard—designed more like a lounge bar than a nightclub—offers a comfortable place to relax and chat with friends.

Each stage attracts a different crowd. Some come simply to dance with friends, while others are clearly there to meet someone new. Most visitors appear to be Hungarians in their mid-20s to early 30s. If language weren't a barrier, it would certainly be easier to join the fun, but this isn't exactly a club where tourists can expect effortless success in the dating scene. Building connections still requires crossing a few bridges, figuratively speaking. The gender ratio is roughly balanced, and many people arrive with meeting someone in mind. As you'd expect in Europe, however, striking up casual small talk is relatively easy.

Even if you're not interested in flirting, Instant-Fogas remains one of Budapest's best places to lose yourself for a night. Dance until your legs give out, or simply wander from room to room and watch each stage transform as the music changes. If your accommodation is nearby, you can comfortably walk back even late at night, as the area generally feels safe.
